“From Basics to Critical Care: Skills You’ll Gain”
The MTCC begins with the foundations every medical trainee must master. From day one, you will practice the art of patient interaction—taking detailed histories, performing systematic clinical examinations, and monitoring vitals with accuracy. You will learn to document findings, present cases, and build confidence in ward duties under faculty supervision.
As you progress, the program takes you through specialty rotations where you gain exposure to real-world cases across departments. In General Medicine and ICU, you’ll learn the flow of inpatient and emergency care. Gastroenterology offers you a window into endoscopy and liver disorders. In Pediatrics and Neonatology, you’ll experience the unique challenges of child and newborn care, while Obstetrics & Gynaecology introduces you to pregnancy-related conditions and emergencies. You will also rotate through Cardiology, Neurology, and Medico-Legal Medicine, ensuring that your training covers both acute emergencies and the ethical dimensions of healthcare.
The course then advances into critical care and life-saving procedures. Here, you will practice protocols in Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS & ALS), assist in procedures such as tracheostomy and endoscopy, and most importantly, develop the skills to manage patients on ventilators and interpret arterial blood gases (ABG). These high-impact experiences are what make MTCC truly unique—giving you the confidence to stand strong in emergencies and critical care settings.
